Brent Ray Fraser’s Secret Death Paintings

This series stems from the redundant daily thoughs I have of dying. I envision my funeral alot. I can also perceive those who attend the unwanted service. The close friends and family who attend will unkowingly become the audience for the revealing of the series. This series is to be created and unseen until my death. I am currently working on the works with hopes that upon completion the daily reminders of lifes end will be put to rest so to speak. Upon completion and crating Tthe artwork will then be sworn to secrecy and stored in a place that only my Will shall reveal. I look forward to everyone seeing them. I would also like to note that I want my ashes to be spread on the property where my artwork was born.

  1. When I read this, I wasn’t sure what to think. It was an unusual feeling of sadness and curiousness all at the same time. The sadness came from the thought of you dying, losing the engulfing passion I hear in your voice when you speak of your art. I have never heard passion like that before. The curiousness came from seeing the art work you have created for after your death. To see the thoughts you did have while you were alive. An unwanted service, absolutely…. but what a chapter that will be in the book of Brent Ray Fraser.

  2. Sadly I won’t be around to see your ‘Death Paintings’ as I am so much older than you and for sure, you will outlive me by many years.. Cruel irony, no?
Makes me sad that I cannot share this work with you…….

  3. Wow! Didn’t think you had a morbid streak.
